Triticum et Zizania

St. John Chrysostom
WHEAT AND TARES

Regarding my previous discussion about the heresy of religious pluralism, in a comment Archbishop Gordon wisely pointed out St. John Chrysostom’s homily on Matthew 13:24-30, the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares. That homily is reproduced below. Note that St. John Chrysostom is one of 36 Doctors (or Teachers) of the Church and was Bishop of Constantinople in the late 4th, early 5th century AD. I should have remembered this: God tolerates religious pluralism that that the faithful aren’t uprooted by uprooting the heretics, and that all, even the heretics, might be saved.

Notate Bene: the translation below was copied from the Catholic New Advent Encyclopedia and is a very literal rendering, so sometimes the wording may be a bit stilted. I’m sure the original Koine Greek text can be found somewhere on the internet for the those of you willing to go that far! Ha! Ha!

Homily on Matthew XIII: 24-30.

Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares. So the servants of the householder came and said to him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Whence then has it tares? He said to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Will you then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay, lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them. Let both therefore grow together until the harvest.

What is the difference between this, and the parable before it? There He speaks of them that have not at all holden with Him, but have started aside, and have thrown away the seed; but here He means the societies of the heretics. For in order that not even this might disturb His disciples, He foretells it also, after having taught them why He speaks in parables. The former parable then means their not receiving Him; this, their receiving corrupters. For indeed this also is a part of the devil's craft, by the side of the truth always to bring in error, painting thereon many resemblances, so as easily to cheat the deceivable. Therefore He calls it not any other seed, but tares; which in appearance are somewhat like wheat.

Then He mentions also the manner of his device. For while men slept, says He. It is no small danger, which He hereby suspends over our rulers, to whom especially is entrusted the keeping of the field; and not the rulers only, but the subjects too.

And He signifies also that the error comes after the truth, which the actual event testifies. For so after the prophets, were the false prophets; and after the apostles, the false apostles; and after Christ, Antichrist. For unless the devil see what to imitate, or against whom to plot, he neither attempts, nor knows how. Now then also, having seen that one brought forth a hundred, another sixty, another thirty, he proceeds after that another way. That is, not having been able to carry away what had taken root, nor to choke, nor to scorch it up, he conspires against it by another craft, privily casting in his own inventions.

And what difference is there, one may say, between them that sleep, and them that resemble the wayside? That in the latter case he immediately caught it away; yea, he suffered it not even to take root; but here more of his craft was needed.

And these things Christ says, instructing us to be always wakeful. For, says He, though thou quite escape those harms, there is yet another harm. For as in those instances the wayside, and the rock, and the thorns, so here again sleep occasions our ruin; so that there is need of continual watchfulness. Wherefore He also said, He that endures to the end, the same shall be saved (Matthew 10:22).

Something like this took place even at the beginning. Many of the prelates, I mean, bringing into the churches wicked men, disguised heresiarchs, gave great facility to the laying that kind of snare. For the devil needs not even to take any trouble, when he has once planted them among us.

And how is it possible not to sleep? One may say. Indeed, as to natural sleep, it is not possible; but as to that of our moral faculty, it is possible. Wherefore Paul also said, Watch ye, stand fast in the faith (1 Corinthians 16:13).

After this He points out the thing to be superfluous too, not hurtful only; in that, after the land has been tilled, and there is no need of anything, then this enemy sows again; as the heretics also do, who for no other cause than vainglory inject their proper venom.

And not by this only, but by what follows likewise, He depicts exactly all their acting. For, When the blade was sprung up, says He, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also; which kind of thing these men also do. For at the beginning they disguise themselves; but when they have gained much confidence, and someone imparts to them the teaching of the word, then they pour out their poison.

But wherefore does He bring in the servants, telling what has been done? That He may pronounce it wrong to slay them.

And He calls him an enemy, because of his harm done to men. For although the despite is against us, in its origin it sprang from his enmity, not to us, but to God. Whence it is manifest, that God loves us more than we love ourselves.

And see from another thing also, the malicious craft of the devil. For he did not sow before this, because he had nothing to destroy, but when all had been fulfilled, that he might defeat the diligence of the Husbandman; in such enmity against Him did he constantly act.

And mark also the affection of the servants. I mean, what haste they are in at once to root up the tares, even though they do it indiscreetly; which shows their anxiety for the crop, and that they are looking to one thing only, not to the punishment of that enemy, but to the preservation of the seed sown. For of course this other is not the urgent consideration.

Wherefore how they may for the present extirpate the mischief, this is their object. And not even this do they seek absolutely, for they trust not themselves with it, but await the Master's decision, saying, Will You?

What then does the Master? He forbids them, saying, Lest haply ye root up the wheat with them. And this He said, to hinder wars from arising, and blood and slaughter. For it is not right to put a heretic to death, since an implacable war would be brought into the world. By these two reasons then He restrains them; one, that the wheat be not hurt; another, that punishment will surely overtake them, if incurably diseased. Wherefore, if you would have them punished, yet without harm to the wheat, I bid you wait for the proper season.

But what means, Lest ye root up the wheat with them? Either He means this, If you are to take up arms, and to kill the heretics, many of the saints also must needs be overthrown with them; or that of the very tares it is likely that many may change and become wheat. If therefore ye root them up beforehand, you injure that which is to become wheat, slaying some, in whom there is yet room for change and improvement. He does not therefore forbid our checking heretics, and stopping their mouths, and taking away their freedom of speech, and breaking up their assemblies and confederacies, but our killing and slaying them.

But mark thou His gentleness, how He not only gives sentence and forbids, but sets down reasons.

What then, if the tares should remain until the end? Then I will say to the reapers, Gather together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them (Matthew 13:30). He again reminds them of John's words (Matthew 3:12), introducing Him as judge; and He says, So long as they stand by the wheat, we must spare them, for it is possible for them even to become wheat but when they have departed, having profited nothing, then of necessity the inexorable punishment will overtake them. For I will say to the reapers, says He, Gather ye together first the tares. Why, first? That these may not be alarmed, as though the wheat were carried off with them. And bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.

Haeresis Pluralismi Religiosi

Pope Francis Kisses Grand Imam of Egypt
THE HERESY OF RELIGIOUS PLURALISM

Amici, Americani, Compatriotae,

Once again Jorge Bergoglio (Pope Francis) has done the idiotic. He has signed a statement with Muslim clerics during his visit to the United Arab Emirates which asserts in part the following:

“Freedom is a right of every person: each individual enjoys the freedom of belief, thought, expression and action. The pluralism and the diversity of religions, color, sex, race and language are willed by God in His wisdom, through which He created human beings. This divine wisdom is the source from which the right to freedom of belief and the freedom to be different derives. Therefore, the fact that people are forced to adhere to a certain religion or culture must be rejected, as too the imposition of a cultural way of life that others do not accept….”

Father Zuhlsdorf at his blog tries to put a positive spin on this by saying that there is God’s perfect will of one and only one Faith in Christ Jesus, and God’s permissive will wherein people have freedom to choose what faith to believe. Father’s effort is admirable. But this episode is merely a continuation of all the other nonsense that has come out from Jorge Bergoglio’s horrible Pontificate.

Father Hunwickie in the United Kingdom discusses this whole issue at his blog, Mutual Enlightenment, where he quotes what Blessed John Henry Newman said in the 19th century:

"For thirty, forty, fifty years I have resisted to the best of my powers the spirit of liberalism in religion. Never did Holy Church need champions against it more sorely than now, when, alas! it is an error overspreading, as a snare, the whole earth ... Liberalism in religion is the doctrine that there is no positive truth in religion, but that one creed is as good as another, and this is the teaching which is gaining substance and force daily. It is inconsistent with any recognition of any religion, as true. It teaches that all are to be tolerated, for all are matters of opinion, [that] revealed religion is not a truth, but a sentiment and a taste; not an objective fact, not miraculous; and [that] it is the right of each individual to make it say just what strikes his fancy."

There are some things we authentic Christians need to grasp, whether we are Catholic, Protestant or Eastern Orthodox:

(1) The ONLY true religion is the Christian one, and yes, it is a religion – a binding together in Christ as the original Latin word (religare = to bind) means.
(2) Islam and all the rest of the world’s religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism, etc. are false.
(3) God wants everyone to come to the saving knowledge of the truth; He does NOT will false belief.

St. Paul addressed this whole issue in his sermon on the Aeropagus in Athens as Acts 17:22-31 records:

22 So Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects. 23 For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; 26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ 29 Being then the children of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man. 30 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, 31 because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”

Now some people in a fit of misunderstanding will say that the Pope is supposed to be infallible, so how can this happen? Vatican Council I back in the late 1800s addresses this as follows:

“For the Holy Spirit was promised to the successors of Peter not so that they might, by his revelation, make known some new doctrine, but that, by his assistance, they might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith transmitted by the apostles.”

Pope Francis for the entirety of his Pontificate has been shooting off his mouth about stuff in which he has no expertise, no knowledge and certainly no charism (or gift) (e.g., climate change, economics, gun control, immigration, etc.). A great deal of what he has said and done has been contrary to Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. Therefore, what Vatican Council I states more than 100 years ago applies: he is NOT infallible (just the opposite in fact) when he contradicts Sacred Scripture and 2000 years of Judeo-Christian Tradition. I do not base what I just said merely on my own interpretation of Sacred Scripture contrary to what 2nd Peter 1:20-21 states:

20 First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, 21 because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

Rather, I base it on the continuous Tradition of Holy Mother Church from the early Church Fathers in the first four centuries after Christ. Do we for a second imagine that St. Ignatius of Antioch (the man who was taught by St. John the Apostle) believed in the legitimacy of a plurality and diversity of religions when he refused to offer incense to Caesar and Caesar’s gods and goddesses, preferring instead to be eaten by lions in the Coliseum? He even said, “I am the wheat of God and am ground by the teeth of the wild beasts, that I may be found the pure bread of Christ.” Would that man say as Pope Francis did, “The pluralism and the diversity of religions, color, sex, race and language are willed by God in His wisdom?” I think NOT!

Pray for Pope Francis, that the Holy Spirit will take the baseball bat of common sense and hit him straight across the head with it so he’ll wake up and fly straight.

Tempus Mali

Jorge Bergoglio aka Pope Francis
Argentinian Marxist Peronist
Amici, Americani, Compatriotae,

We are living in a time great and remarkable evil infecting and infesting both the Body Politic and the Body of Christ. Not only is Washington, DC completely overrun by this evil - slandering Democrats who murder the pre-born and sanctify the filth of homosexual sodomy - but so is the Church. I speak specifically of Jorge Bergoglio, that Argentinian Marxist Peronist currently occupying the Seat of St. Peter. Others have detailed his corruptions and heresies far better than I could, so links to the relevant documents are provided below:

The situation has become dire. If liberals are not removed from power in State and Church, then a great persecution of Christians everywhere will arise. And sadly yes, Pope Francis has fomented and promoted heresy, and has aided, abetted and protected sodomite clerics. Therefore, he and his sodomite clerics must be deposed and anathematized from the Episcopate just as Democrats must be eradicated from the halls of political power. And it is no small wonder that the USCCB fully supports the DNC.

BTW, one last thing: if you screw up in theology and embrace heresy in your doctrine, then your morality will be equally screwed up. That's exactly what we see with Jorge Bergoglio's heresies and embrace of sodomite clerics.

Feminae in Diaconato, Sacerdotio et Episcopato

Heretic Sarah Mullally
Amici, Americani et Compatriotae,

The Catholic Herald of the UK reports that "London’s traditionalist Anglicans have a woman bishop. What now?" The Wikipedia entry on this person reports that "Dame Sarah Elisabeth Mullally DBE (née Bowser; born 26 March 1962) is a British Anglican bishop and former nurse. From 1999 to 2004, she was Chief Nursing Officer and the NHS director of patient experience for England. Since July 2015, she has been Bishop of Crediton, a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of Exeter. In December 2017 her nomination as the next Bishop of London was announced." This person has NO theological expertise, NO parish experience, and NO Christian acumen. She is a heretic for even assuming the pretense of ordination and consecration inasmuch as Christ gave and reserved the clerical state to men only in John 20, and in 1st Timothy 2 St. Paul forbade women to have any authority over men, admonishing them to learn in silence. It is infuriating to see these feminists pervert and defy the Gospel with their godless pink pacifist imbecility. They are like a congress of baboons which scatter throughout the rain forest and savanna, destroying whatever is beautiful and life-giving. Since they will NOT repent, it is time for their eradication from the Body of Christ. Back when men had not been feminized into sterility and paralysis, Phinehas in Numbers chapter 25 and Mattathias in 1st Maccabees chapter 2 made clear what had to be done with the practices of paganism.

In his Apostolic Letter Ordination Sacerdotalis, Pope St. John Paul II explains far more masterfully than I can why women can never be either ordained to the diaconate or priesthood, or consecrated to the episcopate. The second paragraph in section 1 of this letter is clear:

"When the question of the ordination of women arose in the Anglican Communion, Pope Paul VI, out of fidelity to his office of safeguarding the Apostolic Tradition, and also with a view to removing a new obstacle placed in the way of Christian unity, reminded Anglicans of the position of the Catholic Church: 'She holds that it is not admissible to ordain women to the priesthood, for very fundamental reasons. These reasons include: the example recorded in the Sacred Scriptures of Christ choosing his Apostles only from among men; the constant practice of the Church, which has imitated Christ in choosing only men; and her living teaching authority which has consistently held that the exclusion of women from the priesthood is in accordance with God's plan for his Church.'"

A women cannot be a Father and forgive or remit sins in the Sacrament of Confession and Reconciliation any more than a man can be a Nun - a Mother or a Sister. A women cannot act in Persona Christi and confect the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior at the Eucharist any more than a man can conceive and give birth to a child. Men and women are equal in dignity but unequal in function. A man's function is to be Father, Son, and Brother. A woman's function is to be Mother, Daughter and Sister. And the teaching of Sacred Scripture is clear: women are to be SILENT in the Church, for 1st Timothy 2:11-13 states the following:

"Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet woman will be saved through bearing children, if she continues in faith and love and holiness, with modesty."

Therefore, to all you feminists - either emasculated males or androgynized females matter not -EITHER repent of this heresy before the Cross of Jesus Christ OR get out of the Christian Church because by what you do you are NOT authentically Christian. Your weak-kneed, yellow-bellied, effeminate doctrine of diversity of every perversion, inclusivity of every vice, and tolerance of every corruption are a blight, an infection, an infestation which must be exterminated.

Pater Noster

Pope Francis
The Heretic from Argenina
Amici, Americani et Compatriotae,

I tried posting the following analysis at The American Catholic, but it had too many hyperlinks to references to get through automatic moderation. It will probably appear pretty soon. Nevertheless, it was written in response to a post by Dr. Bob Kurland entitled, "PopeWatch: Pope Francis Wants to Change 'The Lord’s Prayer.'"Here is the essential text of my response:

“The phrase ‘do not let us fall into temptation,’ which the Catholic Church in France has previously decided to use, would be a more appropriate alternative, Francis said.”

My little research is consistent with what another commenter pointed out (who may correct me if I err). Neither the Greek nor the Latin says, “Do not let us fall into temptation.” Analysis is below.

καὶ μὴ εἰσενέγκῃς ἡμᾶς εἰς πειρασμόν
KJV and Douay-Rheims: And lead us not into temptation
Literal: And may you not lead us into temptation

The verb εἰσφέρω,v \{ice-fer'-o} is written in the 2nd person, active tense, aorist voice, subjunctive mood singular, singular person. It means:

1) to bring into, in or to 2) to lead into

The noun πειρασμός,n \{pi-ras-mos'} is written in the accusative case, singular person, masculine gender. It means:

1) an experiment, attempt, trial, proving 1a) trial, proving: the trial made of you by my bodily condition, since condition served as to test the love of the Galatians toward Paul (Gal. 4:14) 1b) the trial of man's fidelity, integrity, virtue, constancy 1b1) an enticement to sin, temptation, whether arising from the desires or from the outward circumstances 1b2) an internal temptation to sin 1b2a) of the temptation by which the devil sought to divert Jesus the Messiah from his divine errand 1b3) of the condition of things, or a mental state, by which we are enticed to sin, or to a lapse from the faith and holiness 1b4) adversity, affliction, trouble: sent by God and serving to test or prove one's character, faith, holiness 1c) temptation (i.e. trial) of God by men 1c1) rebellion against God, by which his power and justice are, as it were, put to the proof and challenged to show themselves

The Latin Nova Vulgata reads as follows:

et ne inducas nos in tentationem

Induco is written in the 2nd person active subjective present tense. It means:
lead in, bring in (performers); induce, influence; introduce

Tentationem is 3rd declension and written in the accusative case, singular person, feminine. It means:

temptation; trial

A literal reading of “et ne inducas nos in tentationem” is this:

And may you not lead us into temptation

A reading like this, “let us not fall into temptation,” would look like this:

Et ne cadamus in tentationem

CONCLUSION

As usual, Jorge Bergoglio is a sentimental old fool full of excrementum fetens

Amici, Americanae et Compatriotae,

INTRODUCTION

There has been much discussion about the heretical teaching of Pope Francis in paragraph 305 and footnote 351 within Amoris Laetitia that divorce and remarried people may receive Holy Communion. Such an interpretation is given in the Buenos Aires bishops’ guidelines on Amoris Laetitia: full text. Pope Francis has order that those guidelines be added to the Acta Apostolicae Sedis as part of his official magisterium. Thus, the matter of this issue escalates to the point of schism - deciding whether we follow Pope Francis or we follow the plain words of Christ at the beginning of Matthew chapter 19: what God has joined together, let no man cast asunder. Divorce obviously violates that command and breaks the marriage vow. Those who re-marry another afterwards commit adultery (a violation of Exodus chapter 20:14 and Deuteronomy 5:18 within the Ten Commandments) which is a mortal sin (a sin which leads to death – 1st John 5:16). Concerning the problem of partaking of the Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion) while in a state of unrepentant mortal sin (e.g., a state of adultery), 1st Corinthians 11:27-32 states:

“Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself. That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died. But if we judged ourselves truly, we should not be judged. But when we are judged by the Lord, we are chastened so that we may not be condemned along with the world.”

Therefore, a divorced person who remarries another and then presents himself (or herself) for Holy Communion invokes on himself (or herself) the judgement which St. Paul describes at the end of chapter 11 within his first letter to the Church at Corinth.

That all said, there are TWO and ONLY TWO exceptions to this. These are described below.

DIVORCE FOR ILLICIT SEXUAL INTERCOURSE

Matthew 19:3-9 states:

And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause?” He answered, “Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one’? So they are no longer two but one. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.” They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?” He said to them, “For your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries a divorced woman, commits adultery.”

The exception that Jesus gives for allowing divorce is in verse 9:

“….whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery….”

The Greek states:

“…ος αν απολυση την γυναικα αυτου ει μη επι πορνεια και γαμηση αλλην μοιχαται…”

The Latin states:

“….quicumque dimiserit uxorem suam nisi ob fornicationem et aliam duxerit moechatur…..”

The English word translated as “unchastity in the Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE) is πορνεια in Greek and fornicationem in Latin. Πορνεια means:

1. illicit sexual intercourse
a. adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals etc.
b. sexual intercourse with close relatives; Lev. 18
c. sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman; Mk. 10:11,12
2. metaph. the worship of idols, of the defilement of idolatry, as incurred by eating the sacrifices offered to idols

Fornicatio (the nominative case of the accusative used in the Scripture verse) means:

Fornication, (unmarried) sex; prostitution/whoredom

Thus, from the plain words of Christ, divorce for the reason of illicit sexual intercourse (of any kind) is permissible.

DIVORCE FOR DESIRE OF UNBELIEVING SPOUSE TO DEPART

1st Corinthians 7:10- 15 states:

“To the married I give charge, not I but the Lord, that the wife should not separate from her husband (but if she does, let her remain single or else be reconciled to her husband)—and that the husband should not divorce his wife. To the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is consecrated through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is consecrated through her husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean, but as it is they are holy. But if the unbelieving partner desires to separate, let it be so; in such a case the brother or sister is not bound. For God has called us to peace.”

Note the phrase in verse 15:

“But if the unbelieving partner desires to separate, let it be so; in such a case the brother or sister is not bound.”

Therefore, divorce in the case of the desire of the unbelieving spouse to depart is permissible and the believing spouse is NOT bound.

CONCLUSION

Normally, in order to rightly present themselves to Holy Communion a man and a woman in a second marriage must live as brother and sister as Pope John Paul II describes in section 84 of Familiaris Consortio:

“However, the Church reaffirms her practice, which is based upon Sacred Scripture, of not admitting to Eucharistic Communion divorced persons who have remarried. They are unable to be admitted thereto from the fact that their state and condition of life objectively contradict that union of love between Christ and the Church which is signified and effected by the Eucharist. Besides this, there is another special pastoral reason: if these people were admitted to the Eucharist, the faithful would be led into error and confusion regarding the Church's teaching about the indissolubility of marriage.”

“Reconciliation in the sacrament of Penance which would open the way to the Eucharist, can only be granted to those who, repenting of having broken the sign of the Covenant and of fidelity to Christ, are sincerely ready to undertake a way of life that is no longer in contradiction to the indissolubility of marriage. This means, in practice, that when, for serious reasons, such as for example the children's upbringing, a man and a woman cannot satisfy the obligation to separate, they ‘take on themselves the duty to live in complete continence, that is, by abstinence from the acts proper to married couples.’”

Nevertheless, based on the plain language of Sacred Scripture, one is NOT bound to marriage in two and only two cases:

1. One spouse has engaged in illicit sexual intercourse, OR
2. One spouse, being an unbeliever, desires to separate.

Homosexualitas et Archiepiscopus Paglia

Abp Bishop Vincenzo Paglia
Amici, Americani, Compatriotae,

The American Catholic blog has an entry today entitled, "Popewatch: Archbishop Paglia," in which the following report is provided:

The archbishop now at the helm of the Pontifical Academy for Life paid a homosexual artist to paint a blasphemous homoerotic mural in his cathedral church in 2007. The mural includes an image of the archbishop himself.

A person commenting on this entry stated:

The homoerotic Church painting is not Christ. It is anti-Christ. He has them caught in the nets alright, that is certain.
The LBGT community has a home in Heaven. They, like all pilgrim’s, must repent and cease in activities that are not befitting to the inhabitants of Heaven. The idea of Salvation may of never crossed Paglia’s mind since it’s possible he is having his form of Heaven now. Hope not. Let’s hope a Lenten miracle destroys the image.

I responded as follows:

[ The person above ] above is basically correct. However, I would reword one sentence from the simple:
“The LBGT community has a home in Heaven”
to the more complete:
“The Christian Church has its final home in Heaven; those with same sex attraction join that Church if they repent just as those with alcoholism may join it if they too repent.”
There is no community in Heaven except the Church. And St Paul makes clear in 1st Corinthians 6:9-10 that “…οὔτε μαλακοὶ οὔτε ἀρσενοκοῖται…… βασιλείαν θεοῦ κληρονομήσουσιν”
Which means:
“…nor effeminate nor sodomites…Kingdom of God shall receive.”
St. Paul was as usual precise. He used the term μαλακός to denote male receivers of penetration by males and the term ἀρσενοκοίτης to denote male givers of penetration to males. The English translations we get are sadly sanitized.
Here is the entire excerpt from 1st Corinthians 6:9-10 in Greek, Nova Vulgata and Young’s Literal Translation into English:
An nescitis quia iniqui regnum Dei non possidebunt? Nolite errare: neque fornicarii neque idolis servientes neque adulteri neque molles neque masculorum concubitores neque fures neque avari, non ebriosi, non maledici, non rapaces regnum Dei possidebunt.
Have ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit
οὔτε μαλακοὶ = neque molles = nor effeminate
οὔτε ἀρσενοκοῖται = neque masculorum concubitores = nor sodomites
βασιλείαν θεοῦ κληρονομήσουσιν = regnum Dei possidebunt = Kingdom [Reign] of God shall receive [possess, inherit]
It cannot possibly be more clear than that.

Pictures of this blasphemy follow. Note how Archbishop Paglia is depicted in the last picture.

Dic Christi Veritas,
dic cara raritas,
dic rara Caritas,
ubi nunc habitas?
aut in valle Visionis,
aut in throno Pharaonis,
aut in alto cum Nerone,
aut in antro cum Timone,
vel in viscella scirpea
cum Moyse plorante,
vel in domo Romulea
cum bulla fulminate?
Bulla fulminante
sub iudice tonante,
reo appellante,
sententia gravante,
veritas opprimitur,
distrahitur et venditur,
iustitia prostante.

Haeresis et Cultura Gentilitatis in Ecclessia Protestantia

Amici, Americani et Compatriotae,

There is a certain Protestant assembly in the Charlotte, NC area called Grace Christian Center which espouses the heresy of the Word of Faith theology and sports a variant of the pagan heartagram symbol as its moniker:

Grace Christian Center
Logo

This logo was originally designed by the Finnish rock and roll band HIM:

Heartagram

The symbol was based on the pagan inverted pentagram:

Pagan Inverted Pentagram

The symbol is clearly satanic:

The Satanic Pentagram

Why a church that claims to be Christian - Protestant, Catholic or Orthodox - would NOT use what St Paul used as a symbol in Galatians 3:1, let alone a modification of what is clearly a demonic symbol, is beyond understanding:

"O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?"

Crucifix

I therefore urge anyone attending Grace Christian Center to flee that place as one would the abode of Satan. The theology that it preaches - Word of Faith - is a heresy. and a clear and present danger to the Christian Faith. And the adoption of a demonic pagan symbol that this center makes as its logo confirms everything with Protestant Faith Preacher John Edwards writes here:

Why I Left the Word of Faith and RHEMA
